The Cabinet has approved the appointment of the Sugar Negotiating Team, chaired by Mr Aubyn Hill, a Financial and Strategic Planning Consultant, to oversee the privatisation of the Assets owned by the GOJ. The other members of the SNT comprise a cross-section of representatives from the public and private sector, and include:
- Ambassador Derick Heaven (Chairman, Sugar Industry Authority)
- Mr Archibald Campbell (Accountant, University of the West Indies Lecturer)
- Ms Stephanie Muir (Attorney at Law, Development Bank of Jamaica Limited)
- Mr Wentworth Charles (Attorney-at-Law, Director – Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica)
- Dr Wesley Hughes (Director General – Planning Institute of Jamaica)
- Mrs Betty Ann Jones (Accountant, Senior Partner)
- Mrs Sharon Weber (DBJ & the PetroCaribe Fund)
The remit for the SNT is to invite, assess, evaluate and recommend suitable investors to Cabinet. The Cabinet has approved the appointment
